PM188 Kakistocracy
Unique ceramic tumbler hand thrown by the maker on a pottery wheel from a buff stoneware clay. After glazing, it was fired in a kiln to over 2,000 degrees. Due to the hand made nature of this product, there may be minor imperfections which would not affect its functionality.
The primary colors are oatmeal, soft blue and glittery brown from a combination of glazes. It holds at least 6 oz of liquid. It is approximately 3" tall. Perfect for an espresso or whiskey.
This is a protest mug. On the bottom is the word "Kakistocracy" and you can draw your own conclusions about what it actually means (look it up in the dictionary). The maker is using her constitutional right to free speech to protest the current political regime via her art. You get to have it both ways. A beautiful piece of pottery and knowing that you are also subtly protesting.
